While talking at Le Wagon coding school, I was asked about the early-stage funding process, and how to approach a seed/ pre-seed round. There are two parts to it –
The Collaterals; you should have a deck, a teaser, a three-year forecast and an explainer video helps too. Create a compelling narrative, and make sure the numbers back it up.
The Process; Essentially it’s a sales process. Using your network, or the ready-made ones in the ecosystem such as the Angel Investment Network. You need to approach leads, qualify them, get formal commitments and a win is only when the cash is in your bank.
